2025 MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Media accreditation for the 18th edition of MTN Bushfire is now open.

MTN Bushfire invites media accreditation applications from journalists, travel writers, photographers, videographers and bloggers from established and reputable national, regional, or international newspapers, magazines, news services, radio and television stations and networks, including relevant online publications. Stringers and freelancers with demonstrated placement are also encouraged to apply.

With its roster of international talent, and its innovative, environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive programming, as well as its amazing spirit of diversity and celebration, MTN Bushfire is a major media event that attracts media practitioners and journalists from around the world.

Media Accreditation applications will close on Friday, 2 May 2025.

Spaces are limited, so media are encouraged to apply early. Due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted. Final media selections will be made at the festival’s discretion.

PLEASE NOTE: All media applicants must fill out the Media Form below for accreditation from the Kingdom of Eswatini’s Ministry of Information, Communications, and Technology before MTN Bushfire can accredit them.

Please print, fill out, sign and scan a form for each team member and then email the completed forms and attachments to [email protected] for forwarding to the Ministry.

General Info

  • Accredited media personnel will receive free passes for the festival but NOT for partners or guests.
  • ONLY accredited media will be able to attend media press conferences, request interviews with artists, or have access to the front and side of stage for photos and videos.
  • The designated Media Centre, equipped with power and wireless internet, is the festival hub for media information and interviews. Please make use of it. Note that limited bandwidth will be available.
  • Media passes DO NOT enable access to backstage areas or other secure areas.
  • Media accreditation is NOT transferable.
  • Media accreditation does NOT include any travel or accommodation unless specifically pre-arranged with MTN Bushfire Festival. Please ensure you book your own accommodation in good time as nearby lodgings fill up quickly. Accredited journalists may want to consider purchasing camping passes.
