ARTS ROUND TABLE
TUNE your fire
MTN Bushfire is excited to announce that the annual Arts Round Table is returning for another year, aiming to increase knowledge and skills within the Eswatini artistic community. This year, the festival is partnering with the Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC) for the third time. ARMC is a female-led, executive-focused music industry conference that connects African music to the Worldwide market.
MTN Bushfire’s ongoing partnership with ARMC has resulted in an exciting opportunity for creatives everywhere to tune in to a series of arts industry online panel workshops aimed at professionalising the arts sector in Eswatini and beyond.
MTN Bushfire and ARMC’s collective vision to connect Eswatini and Africa to the world by hosting international delegates through a range of workshops continues to be one of Africa’s leading collaborations, building bridges between the African and European music markets.
This year our partnership introduces a series of 3 Online Workshops, culminating in the Arts Round Table / ARMC workshop held annually at the MTN Bushfire festival. The next edition of the MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table will take place on Friday, 31st May 2024.

The ART will take place on Friday, 31 May 2024 at House On Fire, ahead of the MTN Bushfire Festival, from 9am.
Applications are open to Performing Artists and Arts Industry Creatives in Eswatini – including music artists, artist managers, music publishers, record label executives, poets, comedians and PR professionals.
This year’s ART topics are: Elevating Underrepresented Voices, Forging Connections, Youth Empowerment & Education, and Fostering Self-Reliance
- Elevating Underrepresented Voices: Our mission is to establish safe and inclusive spaces, along with dedicated platforms, that champion the well-being, empowerment, and economic advancement of underrepresented voices within the music industry.
- Forging Connections: We aim to construct a shared space where international and local music professionals can converge, fostering a fertile ground for the exchange of valuable cultural insights and knowledge. The media also has the power to tell compelling stories that resonate with a wide audience. By sharing the stories, challenges, and successes of music professionals, media can humanize and bring closer the people behind the music, facilitating a deeper connection and understanding among industry peers, regardless of their physical locations.
- Youth Empowerment and Education: Empowering the next generation through education and artistry. This theme seeks to inspire and equip young minds with the tools to create change as well as a sustainable career in the music industry.
- Fostering Self-Reliance: Key areas under scrutiny encompass artist development, business growth, and the understanding of international norms. The ultimate goal is to establish best practices for sustained inter-territorial cooperation, paving the way for a prosperous future. With the aim also to outline the best practices for long term cooperation between territories, laying the foundation for future. By providing established structural foundations in both territories and in bringing their companies together, with complementing strengths and resources, the cooperating speakers are well equipped to successfully roll out these panel discussions.
