Taking place from 27-29 May 2022, The MTN Bushfire festival is returning to the beautiful farmland of the Malkerns Valley. Winner of the Best Responsible Event at the African Responsible Tourism Awards in 2017, MTN Bushfire has also been hailed by CNN as one of the “7 African Music Festivals You Really Have To See” and listed by BBC as a “Top African Festival.” This uniquely African, yet globally infused, festival welcomes thousands of people in an atmosphere of inclusivity and passionate commitment to music, the arts and the environment.
One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the full MTN Bushfire experience is to camp at the adjoining All Out Africa campsite or at one of the nearby glam-camping tent hotels run by Harambee Hotel and Rush Adventures, with their friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Limited numbers of tickets and camping spots, due to Covid-19 safety measures, mean festivalgoers should get tickets now to join in the camping or glamping experience.
Camping tickets can be purchased through the ‘Buy Tickets’ button on the MTN Bushfire website Tickets page. Lucky campers may find tickets at more affordable 2020 prices on the Resale Tickets option offered on the Howler ticket platfrom.
Please note that campers will need to ensure they have festival tickets as well as camping tickets, in order to access the campsite. Groups of over 20 people should email [email protected] to make their bookings.
All Out Africa Camping & Travel Packages
The official MTN Bushfire Campsite is set up and managed by the experienced travel group All Out Africa and is conveniently located within a short walk of the festival arena. Situated on well–serviced, clean and beautiful lands with plenty of space and 24-hour security, the site has a true festival atmosphere.
In 2022, the campsite will be relocating to a new and improved position, still conveniently adjoining the main festival arena and now offering lots more space to campers.
If you wish to bring your own tent then you have two choices; camp in our large BYO (Bring Your Own) zone or pay a little extra and set up your tent in a semi-shaded area known as the BYO IN THE FOREST zone.
If you’d like to hire ready erected tents then you can try one of our 3 tented camps: Tent Village, Forest Fire Tented Camp or Canvas Camp.
With its strong family-friendly approach, there is a designated camping site just for families with children. The Family Camping zone and the Camper Vehicle zone are the only two zones of the festival where campers will be allowed to bring their vehicles. A large, secure and separate parking area will be availabelf or campers ot leave their vehicles in.
