MTN Bushfire is very excited to once again welcome festivalgoers to the beautiful Malkerns Valley in Eswatini, from 27-29th May! We’re going to #REIGNITETHEFIRE with our first full in-person festival in two years.
This uniquely African, yet globally infused, festival entertains thousands of people in an atmosphere of tolerance and passionate commitment to music, the arts and the environment.
Tickets are now available for purchase through the MTN Bushfire website. Numbers of attendees, and therefore tickets, will be limited this year as one of the numerous Covid-safety protocols put in place by MTN Bushfire, so don’t miss out on the chance to purchase tickets for the 2022 festival now.
Festivalgoers should note that there will be no physical tickets sold for MTN Bushfire this year. Tickets can currently be purchased through the MTN Bushfire website, and soon will become available for purchase via MTN Mobile Money with an electronic ticket which can be downloaded directly to mobile phones and shown at the gate for entry. Look out for the announcement on the MTN Bushfire Ayoba channel and other social media!
Festival fans can stay tuned for updates and new developments on the MTN Bushfire channel on the Ayoba all-in-one chat and entertainment app. MTN Bushfire channel subscribers can look forward to exciting giveaways in the weeks to come, including MTN Bushfire tickets. Simply download the app from www.ayoba.me, Play Store or App Store and subscribe to the channel.
Vaccination drive
Importantly, festivalgoers will be required to provide valid proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 to enter the festival grounds. This is a requirement for all ages eligible for vaccination; a valid ticket alone will not be enough to gain entry.
MTN Bushfire has taken this decision in conjunction with its partners as it is the best way to ensure the health and safety of festivalgoers, artists, festival staff and local communities. The festival’s commitment to the creative sector, as well as to the broader Eswatini community, is an integral element of the Bring Your Fire mandate to create positive social change.
MTN Bushfire has also partnered with the Ministry of Health, USAID and other key national health stakeholders to support the national vaccination drive. In the run-up to MTN Bushfire, a number of thrilling MTN Bushfire-themed vaccination pop-up events will be held in Eswatini, where members of the public can be entertained by local DJ’s, stand a chance to win great prizes, including tickets to MTN Bushfire, and get vaccinated against Covid-19.
MTN Bushfire 2022 will be an exciting chance to reconnect with the music and arts of Africa, as well as with fellow Fire Starters, in a spirit of joy and celebration. #BringYourFire once more to Eswatini and be part of Reigniting The Fire as we come together again in 2022.
Holders of 2020 tickets are assured that their tickets remain valid for the 2022 festival and will be honoured. All 2020 ticket holders will need to register their ticket options for this year. The registration link can be found on the tickets page of the MTN Bushfire website. Please note that tickets will not remain valid past the 2022 festival.
