Media accreditation for the 18th edition of MTN Bushfire, taking place from 30 May – 1 June 2025, is now open.
MTN Bushfire invites media accreditation applications from journalists, travel writers, photographers, videographers and bloggers from established and reputable national, regional, or international newspapers, magazines, news services, radio and television stations and networks, including relevant online publications. Stringers and freelancers with demonstrated placement are also encouraged to apply.
With its roster of international talent, and its innovative, environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive programming, as well as its amazing spirit of diversity and celebration, MTN Bushfire is a major media event that attracts media practitioners and journalists from around the world.
Media Accreditation applications will close on Friday, 2 May 2025. Spaces are limited, so media are encouraged to apply early. Due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted. Final media selections will be made at the festival’s discretion.
Applications can only be made through the Press Accreditation page on the MTN Bushfire website, where media will be required to first fill out an application form from Eswatini’s Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology before the festival can accredit them.
Accredited media will be able to attend media press conferences, request interviews with artists, and have access to the front of stage for photos and videos. The designated Media Hub, equipped with power and wireless internet, is the festival centre for media information and interviews, and journalists are encouraged to make use of it.
It should be noted that media accreditation does not include any travel or accommodation unless specifically pre-arranged with MTN Bushfire. Journalists should ensure they book accommodation soon, as nearby lodgings fill up quickly. Accredited journalists may want to consider purchasing camping or glamping passes.
