MTN Bushfire 2015: #WearYourFire with Freshlyground for Gone Rural boMake

South African treasures Freshlyground show their support for MTN Bushfire and festival beneficiary Gone Rural boMake, launching the official 2015 festival T-Shirt range.

Swaziland’s International world music and arts festival, MTN Bushfire is taking place this weekend on May 29th-31st and donates 100% of profits from merchandise sales to help support Gone Rural boMake.

Gone Rural boMake, is a community development organisation, founded by Gone Rural whose water, health and education projects empower 10,000 women artisans and their communities.

At MTN Bushfire this year, festival goers will be able to purchase limited edition T-Shirt designs and #WearYourFire in support of Gone Rural boMake. The highly anticipated merchandise range is available to purchase from the MTN Bushfire official merchandise stall at the entrance of the Handcraft and Design Marketplace.

MTN Bushfire’s call to action Bring Your Fire, encourages creative expression and active participation. South African favourites Freshlyground had this to say about Bring Your Fire: “Bring your energy, bring your passion, bring yourself!”

Funds raised will be used to support Gone Rural boMake programmes such as The Kutimela project, which utilises economic empowerment as a driving force to educate women in local communities with the aim of enhancing social change. The project combines elements of business literacy, community banking and small business development to enable financial literacy and sustainble economic growth.
