SONGHOY BLUES (MALI)
Songhoy Blues are Mali’s internationally acclaimed world-music stars. Though their music bears elements of contemporary rock and hip hop, at its heart is a deep attachment to the homegrown songs and dances of Mali’s Songhoy people, as well West African guitar heroes Baba Salah and Ali Farka Touré.
BOMBSHELTER BEAST (SOUTH AFRICA)
This group of renegades is wanted by Interpol’s jazz police for their genre breaking eclectic fusion of 'Afrobalkan Skadubhallhas. The ever-changing international line-up includes jazz artists and for their MTN BUSHFIRE 2016 performance will feature Pitch Black Afro.
MAFIKIZOLO (SOUTH AFRICA)
Mafikizolo is one of South Africa's hottest acts, whose 2014 comeback made waves across South Africa and beyond with their smash single, Khona. The group is a multi-award winning Afro Pop sensation with their musical style firmly rooted in Kwaito & House.
PABLO NOUVELLE (SWITZERLAND)
Pablo Nouvelle a filmmaker and musician from Switzerland who takes soul “back to the future” with a combination of new sounds and old samples. Pablo's performance is sponsored by Prohelvetia.
MANU DELAGO (AUSTRIA)
Manu Delago, an Austrian percussionist and composer, best known as Bjork’s hang drummer, will also perform alongside saxophonist and clarinet player Pepe Auer.
NATIVE YOUNG (SOUTH AFRICA)
Formed in the garage of a Gugulethu marimba maker in 2014 – these are the new kids on the block that are blurring lines and breaking cultural barriers through their own distinct brand of ‘African psychedelic pop’.

Bholoja’s celebrated brand of music called Swazi Soul. A local favourite, Bholoja’s enduring popularity is largely a result of his soaring vocals & his strength as a lyricist.
NOMADIC ORCHESTRA (SOUTH AFRICA)
Nomadic Orchestra is a five-piece instrumental dance band based in Cape Town. The band creates an infectious kind of high-energy dance music. The band is strongly influenced by traditional music from the countries of South-Eastern Europe: Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
FELIX LABAND (SOUTH AFRICA)
Laband creates light, emotional, minimalist soundscapes by combining several styles, and samples from classical, jazz and old television recordings overlaid with instrumental performances by himself and other guest artists. His music has been described by his record label as "indie-tronica"
